kids ministry

We strive to partner with parents in raising children who live like Jesus. By leading through example, we encourage our children to reflect Liberty Christian Church’s core values—welcoming others, offering encouragement, serving faithfully, showing compassion, and living with joy—in all that they do.

For more information on any of the Kids Ministry programs and events, please email our Pastor of Family Ministry, Kelly Schneikart.

  • During worship, a special time is set aside where kids are invited forward for a message that connects the scripture to their everyday lives.

  • Following the Kids Moment, kids may join Kids Fellowship for community-building activities or remain in worship with their families.

  • Our Kids Choir shares special music during worship once a month throughout the school year (September–May). On the Sundays they sing, kids use the Sunday School hour to practice together. We choose familiar or easy-to-learn songs so that every child can participate and feel confident joining in.

  • Throughout the year, we offer a variety of meaningful and fun opportunities for kids and families to connect, grow, and celebrate together, including:

    • Easter Egg Hunt – A joyful celebration of Easter with an egg hunt, games, activities, and treats.
    • Vacation Bible School – A week of faith-filled fun with Bible stories, music, crafts, and games that help kids grow in their relationship with God.
    • Trunk-or-Treat – A safe and welcoming Halloween event with decorated trunks, candy, and community fellowship.
    • Christmas Program – A special opportunity for children to share the story of Jesus’ birth through music and performance during the Advent season.

  • We celebrate and support kids and their families through important moments of faith and life, including:

    • Welcome Baby (Births & Adoptions) – We rejoice with families as they welcome a new child and celebrate this special beginning together.
    • Blessing and Dedication of Kids – A time for families to publicly commit to raising their kids in faith, surrounded by the love and support of the church.
    • 2nd Grade Bibles – We present Bibles to our second graders, encouraging them to begin exploring God’s Word in a deeper and personal way.
    • 5th Grade Discipleship Class – A foundational experience where students grow in their understanding of faith, the church, and what it means to follow Jesus.
    • Baptisms – We celebrate the decision to follow Christ through baptism, marking an important step in a lifelong journey of faith.
