  • Born from a desire to help feed hungry individuals and families in the Northland, Johnny's Cafe began in November of 2011.  Members of the church served only a handful of people in that first meal, but now regularly serve more than several hundred meals each month.  For more than a decade, members of Liberty Christian Church have gathered each month to prepare and serve a free, hot meal to anyone in need.  Meals are currently served on the third Saturday of each month from 11:30-1:00.

  • The Wilkerson Food Pantry currently supports more than 300 households per year with non-perishable food items.  Since the 1970s, generous donations from the congregation and community have kept the food pantry full.  The pantry currently serves Liberty residents and families of Liberty Public Schools.   The food pantry is available by appointment only.  Appointments can be made by calling the church office at 816-781-3621 between 9am and 4pm, Monday - Friday.  The food pantry accepts non-perishable food and monetary donations.

  • Micah Ministries is an outreach program led by  Independence Boulevard Christian Church and supported by many other churches and organizations in the area.  Every Monday, approximately 300-500 homeless and food insecure people are served a hot meal.  Shoes, clothing, hygiene and a medical clinic are also available during this time.  Opportunities for donations and serving are available.  Usually, a core group of 15- 20 volunteers from Liberty Christian Church serve at Micah.

Due to Covid, service at Micah Ministry is limited.  However, volunteer opportunities are still available.
